Safety & Zero-Tolerance Policy

At KMN Transportation, we are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and care for every passenger. This policy outlines our approach to driver conduct, passenger safety, and complaint handling to ensure reliable, lawful, and respectful service at all times.

Zero-Tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy

Introduction

KMN Transportation LLC is committed to ensuring the safety, reliability, and professionalism of its

transportation services. To uphold these values, the company has adopted and strictly enforces a

Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding the use of alcohol, controlled substances, or impairing medications

by drivers during the performance of their duties. This policy applies to all employees, contractors,

and affiliates operating on behalf of the company.


Scope of the Policy

This Zero-Tolerance Policy applies to all transportation personnel who operate vehicles or engage

with passengers in any capacity under the authority of KMN Transportation LLC. It covers the

possession, consumption, or influence of alcohol, illegal substances, and the misuse of prescription

medications that may impair a driver's ability to perform their duties safely.


Prohibited Conduct

Under no circumstances shall any driver or transportation employee of KMN Transportation LLC:

- Operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

- Possess, distribute, or consume alcohol or controlled substances while on duty or in a company

vehicle.

- Report to duty under the influence of impairing substances, whether legal or illegal, that

compromise safety.

- Refuse to comply with company requests for drug or alcohol screening when deemed necessary.


Reporting & Complaint Procedure

Passengers, employees, or the general public who suspect that a driver is under the influence of

alcohol or drugs are urged to report the incident immediately. All complaints will be taken seriously

and reviewed promptly, with strict confidentiality maintained to the extent permitted by law. Reports

Investigation & Enforcement

Upon receipt of a complaint, the company will initiate a formal investigation. Drivers suspected of

being in violation of this policy may be immediately suspended pending investigation. If the

investigation confirms a violation, disciplinary actions will be taken, up to and including termination of

employment or contractual agreements. KMN Transportation reserves the right to report confirmed

violations to state or federal authorities where appropriate.


Training & Compliance

All drivers and transportation staff are trained on the Zero-Tolerance Policy as part of their

onboarding process. Ongoing training sessions are conducted to reinforce compliance and ensure

understanding of expectations and procedures. Documentation of training and signed

acknowledgments are maintained in personnel records.


Availability of Policy

This policy is publicly available on the official website of KMN Transportation LLC and may be

requested in writing by any passenger, employee, or regulatory agency. The company is committed

to transparency and accountability in ensuring passenger and public safety.

Driver Conduct & Professionalism

KMN Transportation drivers are required to:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude at all times 
  • Be trained in assisting elderly and wheelchair-bound passengers with care 
  • Operate vehicles responsibly and follow all safety protocols 
  • Undergo background checks and driving history screenings before providing service
     

Passenger Safety Practices

To protect every rider:

  • All passengers must wear seatbelts while in the vehicle
  • Vehicles are regularly maintained and inspected to meet safety standards
  • Wheelchair-accessible vans are equipped with secure restraints and functioning lift systems
  • Drivers ensure that all mobility equipment is properly secured before transport
     

Complaint Policy

We encourage all passengers to report any incidents, concerns, or violations. Complaints may be submitted by phone or email and will be addressed promptly and confidentially.
